Bye Bye Baby Ticker
Okay, I can't stand watching that dang baby ticker every day, so I'm removing it from the blog. Don't worry, I'm still pregnant, but I'd prefer not to dwell on the fact that I have over 200 days to go.

Bring on the Bucket!
It's official, the morning sickness has arrived. I must warn you that the next several posts will contain lot's of negativity and complaining. I just really hate being pregnant. It's not enough that I have to gain 30+ pounds accompanied by lovely stretch marks, but I also have to endure months of constant nausea. Thankfully, through intense meditation and concentration, no actual vomiting has occurred yet, but there have definitely been some close calls. For those of you who have wonderful pregnancies with no morning sickness, I officially HATE you! How am I going to get through the next 8 months?

A Day to Remember
Today marks the year anniversary of my sister Jerilyn's passing. I don't know what to say except that I still miss her every day. She was a wonderful person, and the world is truly at a loss without her. But I know that she is watching over us on the other side. I love you Jerilyn and still can't believe you're gone.

Happy Father's Day
This year for father's day I decided to give Jeff a very special gift...another baby. It's true, I'm pregnant again. I realize it's unorthodox to announce a pregnancy this early, but I'm going to need a lot of help and support in the coming weeks and months. Some of you may remember my first pregnancy and how difficult it was, definitely the most challenging 9 months of my life. I suffered from horrible morning sickness, plus depression and anxiety. I literally barely made it through. But I'm convinced that this pregnancy is going to be better. I have a great support system here in Texas and an active toddler to keep me busy. I would still appreciate your phone calls end emails (just to make sure I haven't fallen asleep with my head in the toilet). Oh man, what have I gotten myself into? Just kidding. Jeff and I truly are thrilled to add another member to our family. Bring on the morning sickness, cravings, emotions, and back pain!

My Big Girl
This week Lexi made the transition to her big-girl bed. A few months ago we converted her crib to a toddler bed, but she is so tall that she was getting a little cramped in that, so I decided it was time to move her to the adult bed. Since our extra bed is a double she now has oodles of space. She loves being able to spread out with all of her books and stuffed animals. I was also excited because I was able to dissasemble her gigantic crib and store it. It is so nice to have the extra room in her bedroom. Check out the pictures of her cute new room. My next challenge will be potty training, but I think I'll give it a couple months before I try and tackle that.

Trip to Arizona
To finish out Jeff's break from school we decided to endure the 18-hour drive and make a trip to see my parents in Scottsdale. On the trip down we stopped in Albuquerque and stayed the night with our friends Avery and Anna. Lexi had a ball playing with their 2-year-old Parker and was very sad to leave. As we continued the trek, we noticed our car was leaking radiator fluid. We talked to a mechanic who told us the problem would cost around $1000 to fix. Instead of throwing money into a car that wasn't worth much to begin with, we decided to trade our baby in for a newer model. So, our first few days in Phoenix were spent car shopping. We decided we wanted a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and literally looked at every one for sale in the near vicinity. We finally settled on a white model with 17,000 miles and a factory warranty. It was probably a little more than we could afford, but we sure love it and it was great driving it home.
The rest of our time at my parents was wonderful and very relaxing. I was a little dissapointed that my sister-in-law didn't go into labor while I was there, but you can't rush mother nature. The only downside to the trip was the looooong drive. I definitly won't be doing that again until we move there in a year.

Lexi's first kiss. Jeff decided not to play the protective father on this one since they're only 2, but he made it clear that she is not allowed to kiss anymore boys until she's 30.

Our beautiful new car!

Lexi loved playing with her cousins Livy and London.

When Grandma (and Kaylee) Came to Town
Over Jeff's 2-week break from school, Grandma Schramm and Jeff's 8-year-old niece Kaylee came and visited us here in Dallas. We only had a few days together so we had to pack in as much as possible during the short time. This included a trip to the Dallas Aquarium, lunch at The Spaghetti Warehouse, a day at the zoo, dinner at Babe's restaurant, turtle catching, playing at Going Bonkers, and shopping at Sam Moon. We wanted to make sure that they both experienced Dallas to the full extent before returning home. Here are a few of the pictures from our adventures.
