A Trip Down Memory Lane

"Eeew, is that me?"
Everyone in town for Lexi's blessing
Napping with Maude
Lexi with her Aunt Jemima bow
She loves sucking on her dad's finger. If only we could find a binky that has the same shape.
Aren't these the cutest booties? Thanks Lala.
Arriving home from the hospital after 5 days in the NICU. Finally!
Her space helmet. It's actually a humidifier and amazingly enough she really liked it. It sure looks weird though!
Our poor little one hooked up to all those machines. It was so hard seeing her like that, but we are so thankful that we had good doctors and nurses to take care of her when we couldn't be there.
After a long 9 months she is finally here...and covered in cream cheese!

The Growing Belly

The very slow progression of my pregnany...

The pregnant belly does make a good cup holder

I put this entire dresser together myself...at 6 months pregnant. Go me. About ready to pop! Only 2 more weeks to go!
The big day! Finally!

Life Before Lexi

Jeff's dad's funeral
A vacation to Vegas to visit the Shipleys
At a petting zoo with William
Ok, so we were a little bored, but ten minutes later we had younger looking skin.
With Grandpa Elledge at our Boise reception
Our trip to Texas to find an apartment and see Jeff's school. Little did we know I was 3 weeks pregnant. No wonder I kept getting carsick. Good thing we picked a two bedroom apartment.

Our Honeymoon

I was so sick that I had to keep an array of medicine near by at all times
We took a Baja cruise and one of the stops was San Diego.
Inside the cruise ship

Before We Were Married

Our trip to disneyland where we got engaged
Right after Jeff popped the question
Our first date to the rodeo
Halloween 2006. I'm a judge, Jeff's a farmer
Posing in front of the Salt Lake Temple

Chatting with Mom

We have now figured out how to post videos to our blog and we're so excited. Now you can see all the cute things our little one does. You'll probably get sick of all the little things we record but we just think she is so amazing. She has just realized that she can make noise and has fun talking to us. Hope you all enjoy.

Singing the Alphabet

Alexis really likes when we sing the alphabet to her. She will usually try and sing along. She is espescially good at the letter "O". It's so fun watching her grow up. She seems to change so much every day.

Funnel Cloud

This is a video of the funnel cloud that passed by our apartment. It is pretty wimpy but got Jeff and me pretty excited. It touched down just north of us and caused quite a bit of damage. We also got some marble sized hail to go along with the clouds. Pretty exciting day at our house.

Shelter From the Storm

This is a picture of the shelter we made to protect ourselves from the possible tornado. The tornado sirens were blaring and all the news stations were telling us to take cover. Lexi didn't seem to phased by all the action.

Wet At Both Ends

It's time for an update on the Schramm family. Well, more specifically on Alexis, since no one really cares about Jeff and my endeavors since she came along. But, whatever, I'm not jealous or anything. :)

We took Lexi took the doctor this week for a torture session. She had her two month check up and had to get four shots. Yuck! I think it was harder on Jeff than it was on Lexi. She weighs 13 lbs 6 oz and is 24.5 inches long. Big girl! The doctor did notice that she seems to be favoring turning her head to the right and so we have to stretch her neck several times a day. It's amazing how offended I get when someone points out the flaws in my child. She's absolutely perfect to me! Other than that minor issue she seems to be doing great.

We also took her to the chiropractor this week for her first adjustment. It was crazy, as soon as the doctor was done adjusting her she stood on the table and did a back flip. Wow, chiropractors are amazing! No, just kidding, but it did actually seem to help her neck mobility.
On Sunday, we went for a short hike at Grapevine Lake about 10 minutes from our house. It was beautiful and was reminiscient of City Creek Canyon in Salt Lake (don't be too jealous dad!). Jeff goes biking on the trails atleast weekly and I'm hoping to start trail running there soon. We need to make friends with people who have a boat so that we can go water skiing on the lake. We are slowly discovering the many recreational activities there are to do here. I guess Dallas isn't so bad.

We love you all and are excited to see many of you at the end of April at Jake's wedding.
