Trip to Arizona

To finish out Jeff's break from school we decided to endure the 18-hour drive and make a trip to see my parents in Scottsdale. On the trip down we stopped in Albuquerque and stayed the night with our friends Avery and Anna. Lexi had a ball playing with their 2-year-old Parker and was very sad to leave. As we continued the trek, we noticed our car was leaking radiator fluid. We talked to a mechanic who told us the problem would cost around $1000 to fix. Instead of throwing money into a car that wasn't worth much to begin with, we decided to trade our baby in for a newer model. So, our first few days in Phoenix were spent car shopping. We decided we wanted a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and literally looked at every one for sale in the near vicinity. We finally settled on a white model with 17,000 miles and a factory warranty. It was probably a little more than we could afford, but we sure love it and it was great driving it home.

The rest of our time at my parents was wonderful and very relaxing. I was a little dissapointed that my sister-in-law didn't go into labor while I was there, but you can't rush mother nature. The only downside to the trip was the looooong drive. I definitly won't be doing that again until we move there in a year.

Lexi's first kiss. Jeff decided not to play the protective father on this one since they're only 2, but he made it clear that she is not allowed to kiss anymore boys until she's 30.

Our beautiful new car!

Lexi loved playing with her cousins Livy and London.

We had fun seeing you guys! Also, I would like to let you know that no one is more disappointed that I didn't go into labor than ME! This baby is just taking her sweet time. Not nice. Anyway, very cute pictures and I feel your pain about the long drive - not fun with children! :)
